About Mitchell and Son Inc

In 1965, Buddy Mitchell and his son George Mitchell formed Mitchell & Son, Inc., in a 7200 square foot building at 451 North Waldron in Memphis, Tennessee.

Through hard work, the company grew rapidly.

Our History

In 1979, the company moved to its present 30,000 square foot building at 1580 Chelsea in Memphis, Tennessee.

From modest beginnings, Mitchell & Son has grown to a position of leadership in its industry, a position typified in part by one of the most modern plants in the South.

In 2006, George Mitchell announced his retirement, and as a result of a strategic three-year plan, the company was purchased by three key employees- Dale Pollet, Ron Monmaney, and Rickey Dixon. Together, they offered Mitchell and Son customers a combined 70 years of experience, with the majority of that being served right here at Mitchell and Son, Inc.

Our Newest Chapters

In 2017, Dale Pollet announced his retirement and, as part of a ten-year plan, sold his shares to Ron Monmaney and Rickey Dixon to carry on the Mitchell and Son tradition. Through hard work and key decision making, 2018 was one of the best years in the history of the company, and plans were put in place to begin a much-needed expansion.

In 2023, after 33 years with the company, Rickey Dixon announced his retirement; and as part of seventeen-year plan, Ron Monmaney became sole owner of Mitchell and Son. Ron is very excited to carry on the nearly sixty-year Mitchell and Son tradition; and with key personnel put in place, Mitchell and Son has plans to continue to grow and prosper.
